Watch the video above for a closer look into how to brew your own winter tonic tea using common pantry spices!
Winter Tonic Tea Recipe
Serves 1-2
Ingredients
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
Pinch of cayenne
1/2 tsp ashwagandha (optional, but recommended)
Local raw honey to taste
2 cups milk of your choice
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until slightly warm and frothy. If you desire a warmer drink pour the frothy tonic into a pot and gently heat it to a low simmer before serving. If you do not have a blender, use a whisk to incorporate all the ingredients while gently heating in a pot over medium low heat.
*If you wish to take this tonic up a notch, replace the dried turmeric for 1 oz of turmeric juice and the dried ginger for 1/2 oz of ginger juice
